First Coast bistro in Edinburgh’s West End has come up with a fun idea to celebrate their imminent eighth birthday.
Hector MacRae and his team asked their regular customers what their favourite dishes have been over the years and then composed a menu featuring as many of them as possible.
Topping the list is the infamous fried jam sandwich, a hit from First Coast’s earliest menus and a dish which one of the bistro’s earliest reviewers homed in on.
The bistro is running their special menu today only although the fried jam sarnie is likely to linger on the menu for the foreseeable future. The birthday menu costs £22.95 including tea and coffee.
All of the starters and sweets will be served as little tasters so that customers will only have to choose what main course to have.
