It’s very nearly the freakin’ weekend and the blog can almost taste the gin. I’m envisaging a pint glass filled with ice and a litre of Tanqueray. If I’m feeling posh then I might use a straw.
However, those of you whose habits are a little more cosmpolitan might like to investigate The Blind Pig on Byres Road.
They have recently reminded the blog that they do a nifty line in naughty afternoon teas. Sure you can have your sarnies and scones and so on but, at this stage of the week, something a little stronger is appreciated.
At the visually challenged porker, they serve cocktails in vintage teapots, a nod towards Prohibiton Era practices. Their teatime martinis cost £15 and contain enough hooch for two people to have two cocktails each. Cheers!
