Pinkies out, bottoms up.

It’s very nearly the freakin’ weekend and the blog can almost taste the gin. I’m envisaging a pint glass filled with ice and a litre of Tanqueray. If I’m feeling posh then I might use a straw.

However, those of you whose habits are a little more cosmpolitan might like to investigate The Blind Pig on Byres Road.

They have recently reminded the blog that they do a nifty line in naughty afternoon teas. Sure you can have your sarnies and scones and so on but, at this stage of the week, something a little stronger is appreciated.

At the visually challenged porker, they serve cocktails in vintage teapots, a nod towards Prohibiton Era practices. Their teatime martinis cost £15 and contain enough hooch for two people to have two cocktails each. Cheers!

The original pot of tea for two, choose from a selection of loose leaf tea.

TEA TIME MARTINIS £15 per person

Our cocktail teapots contain enough for two cups each. Select a flavour from the tea time martini selection. All tea pots are designed for two people to share.

TEA TIME SPARKLER £11.50 per person

add a little fizz to your afternoon with a glass of prosecco to accompany your cake stand.

TEA TIME EXTRAVAGANCE £36.95 for two
