There's a Saint Patrick's Day party brewing at Merchant Square

It’s St Patrick’s Day and, if we were in America, we might be drinking green beer, dying rivers green and probably wearing daft leprechaun hats.

Fortunately, we have more of a sense of decorum on these shores and do things a little differently. If you want to celebrate St Pat’s then Merchant Square in Glasgow’s Merchant City is holding a bit of a hoolie tonight with the Spootiskerry Ceilidh Band kicking off in the square from 8pm.

If all the jigging and capering sharpens your appetite then there are plenty of 5pm bars and restaurants in the square who will be happy to help.

Bar Square; Metropolitan; Arisaig and Mercado can all ensure that your night is suitably jolly.
