The Brazilians may have the upper hand at football and the Spaniards may get twice the amount of sunshine that we do but Scotland does do some things better than most other countries.
According to this little gem of a story in The Daily Record, our cows are the most flatulent in Europe. Apparently, Scottish cows produce some 142 kilos of methane a year compared with the paltry 129 kilos of our nearest competitors, the Swedes.
