][1]Just a quickie to flag up the new Limelight Bar and Grill which will open on Glasgow’s Waterloo Street on Monday 18th of April.
Part of the new Hotel Indigo, the new venture will be looked after by exec chef Gerry Sharkey, a name familiar to generations of chefs in Glasgow.
Typical dishes will include a variety of trad grill options plus house specials like the ‘posh bacon, egg and chips’.
The bar’s cocktail menu will be a trip down Memory Lane for many as it revives concoctions which became synonymous with some of Glasgow’s well known but now deceased drinking spots. Think along the lines of Alice Underground’s ‘Long Island Iced Tea’ and Charlie Parker’s ‘Brandy Alexander’.
