There will be an open day to celebrate a quarter century of the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine

The Edinburgh School of Food and Wine celebrates its 25th birthday this year and to mark the happy event they are holding an open day.

The school, which sits in a rather handsome 18th century coach house some 12 miles west of Edinburgh city centre, is Scotland’s only BAC accredited cookery school.

What this means is that as well as running leisure oriented food and wine events, champagne cookery classes and one day specialist cookery courses, the school also teaches diploma classes and ten week cookery courses for those who want to work in the catering industry.

The open day takes place on Sunday 12 June from 10am to 4pm. The current crop of diploma graduates will be demonstrating their new found skills and there will be plenty of opportunities to taste the fruits of their labour.
