Joihn Quigley of Red Onion and Guy Cowan of Guy's go fork to fork to raise money for Maggie's

The 5pm team are supporting the Glasgow Restaurant Association with their Who Gives A Fork campaign which aims to raise money for the Maggie’s Centre in Glasgow.

The Maggie’s Centres do fantastic working helping people whose lives have been affected by cancer.

This Sunday, five of the 5pm ladies are donning their gutties and taking part in the Ignis Asset Managment Women’s 10k race in Glasgow. Running under the name of the 5pm Hobblers, the team hope to raise £1000 for the Who Gives a Fork Campaign. At the last count, they were at £770.

If you would like to help push them towards their target then you can donate here. Assuming they all get round intact, then we’ll have a report on their race next week. Possibly along with pics of blisters and forced smiles at the finishing line.

The Hobblers’ efforts are one of a series of events taking place in aid of Who Gives a Fork throughout May. You can find more details on all the individual events here.

On a more general note, over 5o of the GRA’s member restaurants are running special Dine-around menus in aid of Who Gives a Fork throughout May. The participating restaurants are offering two or three course menus for £15.95.

The GRA and 5pm have pledged to contribute on every online booking made throughout the month.
