There are pies behind that door

Grill 48 is a new restaurant in Dunfermline which, according to the feedback on their Facebook page, seems to be going great guns.

It opened a couple of weeks back on East Port and is winning Dunfermline hearts and minds with a selection of menus that mix a grill selection with hearty home cooking.

Steaks, mixed grills, burgers and chicken supremes are all on the grill menu with a wide variety of sauces. The home cooking element comes in with dishes like the trad steak pie, spag bol and, of course, bangers and mash.

The hearty home cooking idea is really taken to its logical conclusion with Grill 48’s sharing dishes. So, for example, they offer a Sunday roast for four people for £28. Based on two adults and two children sharing, guests choose from two home cooked roasts served with seasonal vegetables, roast and boiled potatoes, and all the trad trimmings.

The blog also likes the sound of Tuesdays’ Pie Night which involves different home made pies being presented to hungry diners.
