Many a terrible crime has been committed in restaurants. Decent steaks have been cooked well done; veg has been boiled to death and some heinous wrong ‘uns even insist on serving cheese straight from the fridge. The savages.

Guy Cowan, the chef behind the Merchant City’s fantastic Guy’s restaurant is innocent of all such culinary crimes but, on Monday 27 June, his restaurant will play host to a very dastardly deed: the Guy’s Murder Mystery for Maggie’s.

While enjoying a three course menu, complete with a half a bottle of wine and tea or coffee, murder mystery guests will be asked to help solve a terrible felony.

An all star Scottish cast, featuring Keith Warwick from The Bill; Clare Waugh who has featured in Taggart; Steven Duffy star of Casualty; Ian Robertson from Band of Brothers and Dave Anderson of Gregory’s Girl fame, will lead you in solving (or concealing) one of the most shocking crimes in restaurant history. A mystery celebrity guest will also make an appearance to assist in solving the murder.

The cost of the meal and entertainment is £45 per head and you can book here.

The event is part of the Glasgow Restaurant Association’s campaign to raise over £100,000 for Maggie’s Glasgow Centre.

The Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, Glasgow, provides a comprehensive support programme for people and their families affected by cancer.
