Samba was a big ingredient at the opening of Liverpool's Viva Brazil.

Just under a week to go until Viva Brazil opens on Bothwell Street in Glasgow.

It’s a churrascaria style steakhouse and bar. Churrascaria is Portuguese for ‘If you like meat then this place will make you think you have popped your clogs and woken up in hog heaven’.

The main attraction is the selection of fifteen different cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken which are roasted over a charcoal grill. These are brought around to the table by wandering ‘passadors’ who carve the meat in front of diners.

Guests have signs which they can hold up to let the passadors know if their presence is required. The red side signals that the diner doesn’t want anything more. The green side indicates that the guest still has a couple more holes in their belt that could be loosened so just keep it coming, that’s lovely, Ta very much.

The bar has over twenty different flavours of Caipirinha cocktails on offer which should ensure that your meal goes with a swing.
