Thanks to the ever informative DRAM magazine, the blog learns that Fergus McVicar, who runs Chinaski’s and Black Sparrow in Glasgow’s Charing X, is to open a new late night bar and club on North Street, next to his existing bars.
It will be called the Berkely Suite and is said to feature a cocktail bar on the ground floor and a club in the basement.
You can check the Black Sparrow’s 5pm offers on food here. They are currently running a 2-4-1 deal on their burgers which, according to a customer/reviewer on 5pm, ‘are among the best in the city’.
We are also getting vague news about a new fun pub soon to open in Paisley as well as a new food-led bar popping up in Hamilton. The 5pm blog has sent out the bloodhounds to try and track down any more info but, if any readers have the skinny, feel free to leave us a comment.
