Authentic African food is the deal at The Calabash

Glasgow has a new African restaurant on Renfield Street. The Calabash (it’s a sort of gourd) promises authentic African cuisine every day from 10am to 1am.

The menu includes lentil soup from Malawi, samosas and mshikaki, a Kenyan take on beef, pepper and onion kebabs.

The headline comes from their home page which states that all the food is made with love and smoked low and slow.
