The new Michelin Guide for the UK has been launched

The new UK Michelin Guide has just been launched and it’s mixed news for Scotland.

Castle Terrace has been awarded a star as has Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire. Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond has also been awarded a star which will sit nicely with his existing star for Restaurant Martin Wishart in Leith.

The Plumed Horse and Champany Inn have lost their stars.

Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles has maintained its two stars.

Stravaigin in Glasgow has been awarded a Bib Gourmand for good food at a moderate price.

Scotland now boasts seventeen Michelin stars.

Hearty congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to those who lost a star.
