Learn to manage your dough at Fanelli's

We’re going to skip all that baloney about making it the way Momma made it but, if you do want to learn how to produce your own pizza, then you might want to head to Fanelli’s in Glasgow’s Merchant Square.

Trattoria Fanelli’s, to use their Sunday name, has launched a series of classes offering aspiring chefs a chance to learn how to create a classic Italian style pizza.

Taking place on the restaurant balcony overlooking Merchant Square, Fanelli’s time-served chef will demonstrate how to create the perfect pizza dough.

Pizza scholars will also be shown other handy techniques such as dough rolling and taught about classic topping combos.

Speaking personally, the blog takes a firm stance and says ‘No to pineapple pizza at all times’ but hey, it’s your pizza, you knock yourselves out.

After the demo, guests will be able to test what they have learned by making their own pizza.

Pricing starts from £26.50 per person, including the class; demonstration of pizza making; the chance to make your own pizza and enjoying your pizza with side orders of garlic bread and salad.

At the end of the class, participants will receive a recipe sheet to take away and create their own pizzas at home.

If you want to road test Fanelli’s pizza first then you can check out their 5pm menus here.
