Yesterday’s papers were packed with stories telling us that if only the Scots, Irish and Welsh ate more like the English then we could live longer.
The language it was couched in (and indeed the Daily Mail’s use of Rab C to illustrate the picture) weren’t hugely helpful but the underlying message was clear: eat more veg.
