Some of the 5pm gang were lucky enough to be invited along for a sneak preview of the new Wholefoods Market in Giffnock. I popped my Wholefoods cherry as I’ve never managed to check out the one in Kensington or any in the US so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was really impressed by the friendly and helpful staff who are all ultra passionate about food in general and their own departments in particular. We were able to fill up on samples as we made our way round and there wasn’t one disappointment. 5pm Ben ran back on his way out to grab a couple more carrot sticks and award winning guacamole.
I loved the smoked salmon (they have a massive selection of smoked fish), cheese and bread, but I think it might be the cakes that lure me back.

I also love that you can collect what you want on the way round, and if you can’t wait to get home to eat it there’s a cafe area where you can have a seat and dig in. I can’t wait to explore it some more after it opens tomorrow.
