One of the great things about covering food and drink is that there is no shortage of weird stuff to write about. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the weirdest events tends to be in London.

This weekend, a new wandering bar will set up on Saturday night in (where else?) Shoreditch.

Called The Fourth Wall, the roaming bar will set up in a secret location whose address will only be revealed by notes, messages, emails and other clues left around London.

All very cloak and dagger, we’re sure, but how will they ever develop a regular clientele? Or is that very old fashioned of me?

The 5pm blog inbox also received an intriguing pr from The Cavendish Hotel in Mayfair. This coming Monday, they are celebrating Easter through the medium of a hotel room made from chocolate.

It has been made out of Callebaut chocolate by students from a nearby catering college. As an alternative to stealing the towels or nicking a bath robe, one guest will get round off their overnight stay by scoffing the edible parts of the room.

The Callebaut people have form when it comes to these sorts of shenanigans. Forget GaGa’s meat dress, we suspect that choco couture could be what every well dressed couple is parading around town in.

Is this too much?

Oh, this old thing? I just found it in the wardrobe and threw it on.
