][1]OK, get your diaries out. The weather may have turned but festival season is fast approaching and it’s time to pencil in visits to the Foodies festivals.
The Scottish Foodies takes place in Edinburgh’ Holyrood Park over the weekend of 10-12 August.
Alongside the usual producers’ market and chefs’ theatre, a few new and rather fun features have been added. The Food of Love is a pop-up cinema which will show food-themed films while serving the dishes eaten by the actors. Think along the lines of pizza from Moonstruck and pasta from Goodfellas.
Visitors are also promised a burlesque food fight courtesy of Missy Malone and Cherry Shakewell who are threatening to get down and dirty with a pile of cream buns.
