The trouser of time showing the split of decision making

Those crazy cats at The Arches are at it again with another theatre-themed makeover of their popular Arches Cafe Bar.

In the past, the cafe has hosted Belleville Rendezvous-themed meals and been turned into a shrine to the singer Madonna.

On Thursday 31st May, the cafe will be going all astro-geek and exploring the concept of time. It’s part of a series of events by art/architecture duo Hole In My Pocket.

Called ‘The Universe is Very Big and You are Very Small, Act Accordingly’, the events, exhibitions and meals aim to understand how we define a moment in time.

To be honest, I didn’t finish the first chapter of A Brief History of Time so I’m already feeling out of my depth. However, Thursday’s time and space themed meal looks fun.

Accompanied by performances from theatre maker Gary McNair, diners can enjoy a three course meal and a drink for £9.95.

The meal includes (g)astronomic delights such as big bang bang chicken; a brief history of haddock and, this is my favourite pun, E=Mc Pear or pear tart with apple syrup.

The meal/performance starts at 5.30pm, earth time.
