The Grill Room at 29 celebrates Independence Day with a USDA prime grade sirloin dinner

Wednesday next week is the 4th of July which can only mean one thing: the Grill Room at 29 in Glasgow will be hosting a US-themed night as part of their Wicked Steak series of dinners.

It may be Independence Day in the States but, in the Grill Room, there will be less flag-waving and much more tucking in to eight ounce sirloins of USDA prime graded, grain-fed beef. Actually, the entire menu looks pretty lip-licking.

It all kicks off with a king crab cocktail served with apple, avocado and pink peppercorns. Main course is the steak, cooked to order, and served with 29’s own steak sauce, sauté Lyonnaise potatoes and grilled asparagus. American waffles served with strawberries, ice cream and maple syrup will round it all off.

The evening costs £29.95. ‘Yee Haa!’ as our American cousins might put it.

If you can’t make the 4th of July then check out the Grill Room’s other menus here.
