Pukka: Will Ferrell may play Jamie Oliver

The 5pm blog was delighted to see that there are plans to make a film of Jamie Oliver’s attempts to reform the diets of Los Angeles school children.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot will centre around a hip Los Angeles food truck chef who gets into trouble with the law. Sentenced to do community time in a school, the renegade chef sets about improving the children’s eating habits.

Rumour has it that Will Ferrell is being lined up to play Jamie.

The 5pm blog is hopeful that this will open the floodgates to a new wave of films based on the exploits of British chefs.

Hugh Grant could play Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as he continues the quest for the perfect quinoa recipe to serve at a kitchen supper for eight.

Obviously, Dame Helen Mirren would be a shoe-in for any Delia Smith biopic and Gordon Ramsay would have to be played by Dolph Lungdren.

Who wouldn’t pay good money to see Dolph as Gordon in what the trailer would have to call ‘one man’s struggle to use less than thirty swear words while making an omelette’?
