Just a quick mention for the new cafe opening up on Deanhaugh Street in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge this morning. It’s an offshoot of the Peter’s Yard cafe and bakery in the city’s Quartermile development.
Master baker Jan Hedh will be rolling out fresh bread, pastries, ice cream and chocolate.
Likely to be a big seller is their no compromise sourdough pizza. Given that their next door neighbour is a branch of Pizza Express, it seems safe to say that this is the culinary equivalent of parking the tanks on the lawn.
