Recreate your own Downton Abbey at Cameron House

Downton Abbey is back on our screens in September and Cameron House Loch Lomond is getting in on the act by offering a luxury butler experience.

Whether you see yourself as the steadfast Earl of Grantham, dashing Matthew Crawley or the glam Lady Mary, guests at Cameron House can get a taste for the aristocratic lifestyle with their own butler, chauffeur service and, naturally, garment pressing.

Staying in one of the hotel’s most luxurious Whisky Suites, guests can wake up to beautiful views over the loch, whilst resident butler, George Telford, takes care of the pampering schedule. Welcoming guests with a private check-in and a tipple of their choice, from the finest Scottish whisky to an elegant glass of champagne, George will start by unpacking their cases and making their suite feel like home.

George will be on hand to co-ordinate any requests Sir and Ma’am may have throughout their stay, from drawing a bath to arranging private cocktails on a remote island on the loch. Aspiring Lords and Ladies will also be treated to a bespoke Afternoon Tea in their luxury suite, pre-dinner champagne and canapés, plus a morning tea, and newspaper of choice wake-up call.

Prices for the luxury butler experience start from £1025 per room per night, plus complimentary chauffeur transfer from Glasgow* for bookings made in September 2012.

Should a little over a £1000 be a bit of a stretch then you might prefer to see what 5pm offers the restaurants at Cameron House are running. The Boathouse is running a two course offer from the early bird menu at £59 for two adults and two children including a glass of wine for the adults.

The Claret Jug at the Carrick is offering two courses from the dinner menu for £18.95.

*Guests must quote Downton to receive the comp transfer.
