Fish ‘n’ tips are on the menu at Nick Nairn’s cook school in Aberdeen on Saturday

Like seafood but a bit unsure about how to prep it? Then you may wish to head along to Nick Nairn’s new cook school in Aberdeen on Saturday.

As part of an event called Fish is the Dish, one of Nick’s team will guide visitors through a seafood master class. In just over two hours guests will learn lots of great tips about buying and sourcing sustainable seafood and also get the chance to roll up their sleeves and do some great hands-on cooking.

Parents and grandparents are invited to take part in the free cooking event which aims to give them inspiration and confidence to cook more seafood for their families.

Two sessions will be hosted by one of Nick’s resident chefs: 10:30am-1:00pm or 2:00-4:30pm.

Nick, a massive fish fan said: ‘Fish is the Dish is a great initiative and I am excited that my chefs will be hosting the event at my new cook school. Eating fish is important for a healthy diet so it’s important to encourage families to eat more. People often think that seafood is complicated to prepare and expensive but that really isn’t the case.  I’m sure people will be inspired by what the Fish is the Dish team has in store!’
