Ginger Grouse: also on draught in a bar, near you, soon

Just a quickie to draw your attention to the Ginger Grouse, a new alcoholic ginger beer from iconic whisky makers The Famous Grouse.

It’s currently available on draught and in bottles in one of the outside bar areas at the Pleasance Courtyard.

At 4% ABV, it’s a refreshingly zesty tipple for these uncharacteristically hot August days but not one which will leave you feeling light-headed after a pint or two.

One of the ideas behind the Ginger Grouse is that it might be a gentle way to introduce younger, non-whisky drinkers to the spirit – a concept which has long been the Holy Grail for many parts of the whisky industry. TBH, the Ginger Grouse might just be the way to do it, especially when presented on draught.

It should be in Scottish supermarkets over the next couple of weeks but, later in the year, there are plans for Ginger Grouse Taste Adventure events at bars in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We’ll keep you posted.
