Paperino’s on Sauchiehall Street has become Papa Tony’s. While much may have changed along with the name, the menu’s heart remains in Italy.
Pizza and pasta take up a good chunk of the menu along with salads, bruschetta and the occasional American interloper such as the spicy chicken wings and the Cajun chicken and chips.
I like the look of the lamb ragu pappardelle in which the lamb is slow cooked and topped with rosemary, mint and a Parmesan crumb.
Naturally, Papa Tony’s isn’t the only Italian in Glasgow. Click here to see all the Italian restaurants on 5pm which are offering diner deals. The list includes the Paperino’s on St Vincent Street which is housed in a rather elegant building.
