29 at the Grill is one of many top Glasgow restaurants taking part in the August Dinearound

It’s the start of August which can only mean one thing – the August Dinearound promotion is up and running in dozens of Glasgow’s finest restaurants.

Throughout the month, 5pm have teamed up with the Glasgow Restaurant Association to create a special dining promotion.

Each restaurant is offering two or three course meals for a wallet-friendly £15.95. And, just to ensure that you leave the restaurant smiling, each diner will also receive a complimentary dram of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky. The whisky is only available while stocks last. On previous form, you have around two weeks before it’s all gone so get booking.

The full list of participating restaurants is here but, just to whet your appetite, these are the sort of offers which you could be sitting down to in the near future.

At Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery, a restaurant which many reckon to be Glasgow’s finest, diners can enjoy two courses and a glass of wine from the pre-theatre menu for £15.95. Typical dishes might be the starter of Parma ham, artichoke and rocket salad and a typical main course would be the fillet of cod with a smoked cheese crust and a shallot and herb cream.

Alternatively, 29 The Grill at the Square are running two courses from their pre-theatre menu. Diners could kick off with a starter such as chicken and bacon Caesar salad before tucking into a main course of roast free range chicken supreme with creamed potatoes, French style peas and roast jus.

If you fancy something spicy, then Kama Sutra on Sauchiehall Street is offering three courses from the a la carte menu for £15.95.
