The 5pm blog would like to say ‘Buongiorno’ to Quattrozero, a new Italian restaurant, cafe and takeaway which has opened its doors on Edinburgh’s Queensferry Street.

Breakfast to supper

Open from 7.45am every day, the extensive menu runs from breakfast items such as the full Scottish and Belgian waffles to around a dozen different desserts, many featuring ice cream.

In between, there are salads, bruschetta, sharing platters, steaks, burgers and fish dishes.

Log-fired pizza

Obviously, pizza and pasta feature prominently on the menu with the former being baked in a log-fired oven. Large parties and those with monstrous appetites can order their pizza by the metre.

Quattrozero is owned by Giorgio Crolla, whose family has been in the restaurant business in Edinburgh for over 40 years.  Giorgio also runs Bar Napoli, Grand Cru and Caciopepe on Hanover Street.

If Quattrozero is a little out of your way then the 5pm restaurant booking service has plenty of alternative venues.

You can browse all of the 5pm Italian restaurants in Glasgow here while our selection of Edinburgh restaurants can be found here.

2 for 1 offer

Many are running special offers. For example, Caciopepe is currently offering 2-4-1 on main courses when you make a reservation through 5pm.
