Bradford’s Bakery ATM keeps the cupcakes coming

Where Los Angeles goes, Glasgow follows. Or at least that seems to be what is happening after Bradford’s Bakers unveiled their Bakery ATM in the St Enoch’s Centre today.

Beverly Hills

Earlier this year, Sprinkles Bakery in Beverly Hills launched a cupcake vending machine so that cake-loving Los Angelinos would have access to their dainty snacks 24/7.

Now the family-owned Bradford’s, founded in the south side of Glasgow in 1924, has introduced the concept to the West Coast.

Claire Bradford of Bradford’s Bakers said: ‘We might be a fourth generation family firm, but launching the first Bakery ATM in the UK in Glasgow shows that we’ve never stopped looking for fresh ways to service our customers.

‘Our innovative Bakery ATM will be restocked each morning with a choice of seven cupcake flavours from our extensive selection at any one time – including flavour of the week – and any cake dispensed will be freshly baked from our local bakery that morning.’

Scarlett Johansson

Now that such convenience is available in Glasgow, it will surely just be a matter of time before Brad, Angelina, Tom et al flee smog-choked LA for the delights of Glasgow.

Scarlett Johansson hung out in Sleazy’s last year so maybe it isn’t so far fetched an idea?
