Cocktail demos
If you like cocktails then you will love Cocktails in the City which takes place in the beautiful Mansfield Traquair in Edinburgh on Wednesday 28th November from 6pm. Billed as an evening of cocktail making and drinks entertainment, it will feature tutored tastings, cocktail making demos and samplings.
Top bars
Among the bars taking part are Hotel du Vin, Bond No 9, The Voodoo Bar, Grand Cru and Tonic. The 5pm blog liked the look of the tutored tequila tasting (it’s so much more than knockout shots, people!) and the demo on making classic American cocktails.
There is also a demo in how to make decent cocktails using commonly found household ingredients. We all like those cocktails which push the boundaries of innovation but not all of us have a rotary evaporator at home.

£18 entry includes three cocktails, drinks sampling, Main Stage demonstrations, tutored tastings and a cocktail booklet.
