A meal at Ingram Wynd would make a welcome stocking filler

The papers have been full of stories about the the imminent arrival of the Beast from the East – the Siberian weather front which is supposed to savage the UK in its frosty jaws this week. Thick snow, howling winds and plummeting temperatures are all being forecast.

Sensible people who plan ahead will be feeling smug as they will have already got all their Christmas presents bought, wrapped and hidden from the kids on top of the wardrobe. No trudging around bitterly cold streets doing the Christmas for them.

Christmas gifts

For the remaining 99.99% of the population who aren’t quite so organised, you may want to take a gander at the 5pm Christmas gift page. There are all sorts of health & beauty gifts on offer along with activities, days out and hotel stays – all at wallet-friendly prices.

Naturally, this blog is more concerned with the restaurant offers. You can browse, choose and pay for the offers online – no need to venture outside and face the Beast from the East.

Merchant City restaurant offers

One that particularly caught our eye was the two course meal for two people with a glass of wine each at Ingram Wynd in the Merchant City. The Victorian-themed restaurant is a big hit with 5pm diners who have given it a whopping combined rating of 4.3/5.

The two course meal for two is available at £25 instead of up to £56. There are some excluded dates, notably Valentine’s Day, but otherwise vouchers are valid until the end of February 2013. A meal out in a top rated restaurant for £25 looks a pretty tasty Christmas present.
