Tomorrow is Burns Night but the 5pm Restaurants blog recognises that not everybody goes completely cray cray for 18th century Scottish poetry.

For those who prefer Summer Days to chieftains o’ the puddin’ race, the Alea casino on Springfield Quay is hosting a Grease tribute night on Saturday.

Live entertainment

Live entertainment, a DJ and a three course set meal are yours £25 (plus £0.75 booking fee) from here.

Dressing up as Danny Zuko or Sandy Olsen is encouraged but if you want to have a bet then the management suggest you try your hand at the roulette or blackjack table rather than drag racing for pinks in Springfield Quay car park.

Dirty Dancing and Michael Bublé tributes follow on the 2nd and 16th of February respectively.

Great 5pm reviews

Scoring 4.4/5, the Red Leaf Restaurant at Alea is a sure fire bet for many 5pm Restaurant customers.

This is what a couple of diners had to say of their experiences:

‘Both the food and staff were excellent. It represented great value for money and would definitely return as very close to SECC.’ Rating 4.2/5

‘Excellent in every way. This is our 5th visit to The Red Leaf and once again, we were blown away by the quality and value for money. Favourite restaurant in Glasgow at the moment by a mile.’ Rating 5/5
