Mattia Camorani: Head Chef at Cucina makes the case for getting passionate over the pans

Is Italian the most romantic language in Europe? The Italians would say so although the French may beg to differ.

At Edinburgh’s Hotel Missoni this Thursday, Head Chef Mattia Camorani will be making the case for Italian passion as he gives a master class in cooking a decadent, three course meal for Valentine’s Day.

Valentine dinner master class

Guests will learn how to prepare radicchio and red wine risotto; herb crust sea bass with cos salad and balsamic vinegar sauce and a dessert of strawberry soup with chocolate tortellini – all while sipping a glass of Prosecco and tasting samples of Mattia’s menu.

Head Sommelier, Marta Giannella, will also be on hand to recommend the perfect wine match before the hotel’s team of mixologists demonstrate how to truly impress with a fruity cocktail.

The two hour master class costs £30 and begins at 7pm on Thursday 7th February, giving you exactly seven days to perfect your technique.

Big Deal on overnight DB&B stay

While we’re looking at Hotel Missoni, you might be interested in a fantastic Big Deal which is currently running.

The full details can be found here but, essentially, the offer is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay, Sun/Mon, in a Missoni room along with a 2 course dinner in the award-winning Cucina restaurant.

An a la carte breakfast in the morning is part of the deal as is a chilled bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The Big Deal price is £160 instead of the standard £320.
