Stewart Brewing are heading for Ryan’s Cellar Restaurant for a beer and food matching dinner

A couple of weeks back, we blogged about Gregg Wallace enthusiastically noshing a dessert at Ryan’s Cellar Bar and Restaurant during a trip to Edinburgh.

There are no MasterChefs involved this time around but the venue is planning an appetising food and beer matching dinner for Thursday 11th of April.

The team in The Cellar Restaurant have been brainstorming with the brewers at Stewart Brewing to come up with a four course menu matched to Stewart beers.

Tickets cost £25 per person and the evening starts at 7.30pm. Here is the menu:

Starter

Curried sweet potato soup served with a Pentland IPA bread roll. Served with a half pint of

Stewart’s Pentland IPA.

Main

Highlander corn fed chicken served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes accompanied with Hefeweizen mustard sauce. Served with a bottle of Stewart’s Hefeweizen.

Dessert

Homemade chocolate and pecan brownies served with Ka Pai cinnamon cream.Served with a half pint of Stewart’s Ka Pai IPA.

To Finish

Coffee served with a chocolate and Cauld Reekie truffle. Served with a half pint of Stewart’s Cauld Reekie.
