SRA 2013

Every time a new government is elected, there is always one bloke (it’s usually a bloke) who complains that the wrong party has got in. However, ask him if he voted and he’ll inevitably say, ‘What’s the point, they’re all the same anyway’.

Doh!

Don’t make the same mistake with the Scottish Restaurant Awards.

Run by 5pm and the Daily Record, the awards are now in their sixth year. They aim to celebrate the very best of Scotland’s excellent restaurant trade – arguably a far more important subject to most people than politics.

Vote for your favourite restaurant

If your local Indian does a breath-taking chicken chasni then we want to know about it.

Do you have a neighbourhood bistro which would give most big ticket city centre restaurants a run for their money? Let us know.

What’s your favourite seafood restaurant? Your favourite Italian? Is there a restaurant where you just love taking your family?

Love your local takeaway?

What about takeaways and street food? Is the fish in your local chippie so fresh that a good vet might be able to revive it? Perhaps there is a stall at your local market which sells the best pulled pork roll you have ever tasted. We want to taste it too.

Fill in a quick nomination here and tell the world about the places where you most love to eat.

Voting closes soon

But be quick. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 24th March. So if you want your favourite restaurants to be considered for these prestigious awards, shout about them. Let us know which restaurants, bars, bistros and brasseries you think should be considered for the Scottish Restaurant Awards.
