Congratulations to the SimpsInns group which opened Si! In Irvine a little over a month ago. Built from scratch on the site of the old Golf Hotel, the new development features a Mediterranean cafe, bar and restaurant over two floors.
The venture is the latest addition to a portfolio which includes The Gailes in Irvine; The Waterside in West Kilbride; The Riverside Inn by Ayr and Old Loans Inn in Troon.
Views of Arran
Si! Comprises an informal bar and restaurant on the ground floor while a second restaurant, Si! Italia, is on the upper floor. The upstairs restaurant has a breakout balcony and views across to Arran.
Multi-menu venue
The venue serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks, scones, sandwiches, tray bakes and cocktails at most points in between. Guests can choose whether they want a couple of tapas; a street pizza served on a half metre plank; a set 2 course lunch for £10.95 or three course a la carte dining in Si! Italia.
While Italian/Med-inspired dishes are prominent on the various menus, Si! is a member of the Scotch Beef Club and supports the Taste Ayrshire initiative. Scottish cheddar, Ayrshire bacon and West Coast mussels are all featured.
Party nights
From Tuesday quiz nights to the weekend’s live DJs via Thursday’s cheesy chart classics, Si! looks a lively joint.
