Retail Development Manager, Bobby Grant; Ian Mackie, head chef at House for an Art Lover, and Heather Manson, capital appeal manager at PPWH, launch the appeal.

It’s the month of May and the Glasgow Restaurant Association (GRA) are doing their bit to ensure that it’s a merry one by launching their ever popular Dine Around deal.

Brick by Brick appeal

This year’s May Dine Around is all the more appealing as it’s helping to raise funds for Glasgow’s Hospice. The not-for-profit organisation has chosen The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (PPWH) Brick by Brick appeal as its charity partner and is calling on food lovers across the city to help raise funds one dinner at a time.

Glasgow’s top restaurants

The month long Dine Around deal offers diners a choice of two or three courses in some of the city’s top restaurants from £15.95 per person. Taking place from today to the 31st of May, over 70 restaurants are involved including Cail Bruich West, Amarone, House for An Art Lover, Café Andaluz, Di Maggios and Two Fat Ladies.

State of the art kitchen

Throughout 2013, the GRA, together with 5pm, aim to help raise funds to build a brand new state of the art kitchen for the new Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.

The two organisations have committed to contribute on every online booking made in May. The hope is to raise £5,000 for Glasgow’s Hospice, with proceeds donated to the Brick by Brick appeal.

Launched in 2012, the Brick by Brick appeal aims to raise £15 million required to create a new, purpose built state-of-the-art palliative care facility for the Hospice’s patients and families.

Worthwhile cause

Commenting on the launch of Dine Around, Ryan James, chairman of the GRA, said:

‘We are excited to launch our popular Dine Around promotion this May and are pleased to see so many of our member restaurants taking part. Glasgow is renowned for its culinary offering and we hope foodies across the country celebrate this with us and help raise money for such a worthwhile cause.’
