The 110 Restaurant in Fountainbridge has just launched new menus

Changes are afoot at the 110 Restaurant in Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge.

The restaurant is attached to the Gentings Casino and, as before, they are running set price deals which include a free bet and a learn to play session along with a drink and three course meal.

Dining destination

Alongside the gaming, they are also promoting the 110 Restaurant as a dining destination in its own right.

Their newly launched menus have plenty to offer those who want a memorable dinner but perhaps have less of an inclination to hit the gaming tables.

Venison carpaccio

From the a la carte starters, we liked the look of the venison carpaccio; the shellfish tasting plate and the very timely dish of asparagus with Parmesan and truffle oil.

The main courses feature a number of steaks but the dishes that caught this blogger’s eye were the crispy aromatic roasted duck breast  with butternut and red thai curry sauce plus the honey-roasted, free range pork belly which is served with a cauliflower puree and caramelised apple.

Tipsy Eton mess

Dessert lovers are well catered for with options such as the banana and rum crème brûlée; a tipsy Eton mess and a chocolate and praline fondant with lavender cream.

A three course menu from the a la carte will come in at around £20-£25 a head while the set price dine and play deals are here.
