Will Maurice Taylor’s Bonne Auberge win the Glasgow’s Favourite Business Award? Yes, they can can.

Nearly forty years old, La Bonne Auberge in Glasgow’s Theatreland has long been a hit with 5pm diners. Now the city centre institution is vying to claim the title of Glasgow’s Favourite Business. The restaurant is one of six businesses to make the finals of the Glasgow’s Favourite Business awards, organized by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Evening Times.

Fresh & contemporary

La Bonne Auberge was originally opened in Glasgow in 1975 by hospitality legend, Maurice Taylor. A refurbishment at the end of last year helped keep the premises as fresh and contemporary as ever. As staff and customers prepare to celebrate the restaurant’s 38th birthday this Sunday, La Bonne Auberge is clearly still acknowledged as one of the city’s most popular haunts with the public voting it into the final six of the competition.

Multi-award winning

Maurice Taylor, who continues to own and manage the multi-award winning restaurant comments:

‘My family, friends and staff all know that La Bonne Auberge is my baby so I have been especially proud to see it win a clutch of national and international awards in recent times. However, to win Glasgow’s Favourite Business would be the icing on the cake for me. Glasgow is the city in which I was born and where I first opened La Bonne Auberge and to win would be fantastic recognition for the staff who have worked hard over the years. However, the fact that this award is voted for by the people of Glasgow, would make it extra special to me.’

If you wish to vote for La Bonne Auberge as Glasgow’s Favourite Business, then simply email businessawards@eveningtimes.co.uk naming La Bonne Auberge as your choice. Voting closes 26 July 2013.
