Having had a brilliant time at the birthday party of Edinburgh’s Hard Rock Cafe earlier this year, the 5pm Dining blog is looking forward to the launch of the Glasgow branch in November.

Due to open in the Athenaeum on Buchanan Street, the 170 seat restaurant will feature rock and roll memorabilia such as a green two-piece suit worn by The Who’s Pete Townsend and a burgundy velvet schoolboy outfit worn by Angus Young of AC/DC.

If you can’t wait until November for Scotland’s second Hard Rock Cafe to open then try the original on George Street in Edinburgh.

Smokehouse menu

During September, their usual menu is being supplemented a host of smokehouse options.

Cooked in Hard Rock’s in-house smokehouses, the new menus draws on the Southern cooking of Hard Rock Cafe founder Isaac Tigrett’s hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

Look out for rib, chicken and pulled pork meals, all accompanied by Hard Rock’s Bar-B-Que sauce.
