][1]Like wine? Would you like to taste over 250 of them? If the answer is ‘You betcha!’ then you may want to book into the Tesco Wine Fair which takes place this weekend at the EICC on Edinburgh’s Morrison Street.
Dozens of producers from over fourteen different countries will be represented by more than 250 wines at the event.
What wines go with turkey?
There will be plenty knowledgeable people around to help with any queries. Previous questions have included ‘What wines should I buy for my wedding’ and ‘It’s Christmas soon. What goes with turkey?’
If you would like to delve further into the world of wine the visitors can sign up for a guided wine walk around the fair. Throughout the event, a variety of different experts will take groups of up to eight visitors around the Fair, talking about and tasting different wines that are of specific interest to you.
Is there red beyond Rioja in Spain?
If you really want to go hardcore then get your name down for a wine workshop. These are limited to twenty people for each session. Say, for example, you had a burning thirst to know more about the wines of Chile or explore Spanish reds which were not Rioja then one of the wine workshops may be able to provide the answer.
Sessions run 11am-2pm and 3pm-7pm on Sat 26th October and from 12.30pm-5pm on Sun 27th.
