Those who like their leisure time to involve something foamy may be interested to know that Glasgow Beer Week gets underway today.
In fact, it runs until the 10th of November. Somewhat longer than a week but then time-keeping often goes a little shonky after a couple of beers.
Over the next ten days, beer lovers can enjoy a series of tutored tastings; meet the brewer events and intriguing beer and food pairing events at some of Glasgow’s best known pubs.
Burger and beer matching
One event in particular that caught our eye is the burger and beer matching taking place at the newly launched Bread Meats Bread.
From Tuesday 5th November to Saturday the 9th, the mighty Hippo beer shop is teaming up with the BMB people to lay on a daily burger special with matching beer.
Food and drinking events tend to focus on fine foods and fine wines so it’s interesting to alter the context a little and match gourmet street food with craft beers.
