Galvin Brasserie de Luxe is well stocked with Beaujolais nouveau.

After a few years when the habit of celebrating the first wine of the last harvest seemed to have slipped, restaurants are once more encouraging us to shout ‘Le Beaujolais nouveau est arrivé!’

Here are a couple of 5pm Dining members where you can taste the new bottling:

According to the team at the Two Fat Ladies restaurants, ‘This year’s cold spring and changeable summer weather have resulted in a late harvest, producing a small but high quality crop. Similar in style to the excellent 2012 vintage.’

They recommend that diners treat themselves to a glass or two the next time that they are in but warn that supplies are very much finite.

In Edinburgh, the Galvin Brasserie de Luxe at The Caledonian Hotel is serving a special three course meal to celebrate Beaujolais nouveau. The special menu is available from today to Sunday.
