butcher mo

So how’s your Movember going? This 5pm Dining blog scribbler currently looks as though something has died on his top lip.

The Mo’ bros at Glasgow’s Butchershop Bar and Grill are having considerably more success.

They have been assiduously supporting the Movember charity appeal not just through the medium of the moustache but also by donating £1 every time a customer ordered their Signature cut of steak or drank a Movember Signature cocktail – the fiendishly Motastic chilli Moustacherita.

Monster party

The restaurant is bringing Movember to a banging end on Wednesday 27th November with a monster party.

As well as a three course Movember menu they promise a rocking raffle with prizes that include a signed and certified Liverpool FC top.

Guests are invited to donate as much as they want for their meal with a suggested minimum donation of £20.

New Merchant City venue

Movember is not the only project that the Butchershop team has on their plates. Owner James Rusk recently announced plans for a new venture in the Merchant City.

James is leasing the former Hutcheson’s Hall Hospital on Ingram Street from the National Trust.

The idea is to invest £1.2 million creating a new restaurant which will employ around 40 people and have 178 covers.

Keep your eyes on the blog for more news on the project. We hope to have an interview with James in the New Year.
