The Hard Rock Legendary Burger: yours for 71p.
The Hard Rock Legendary Burger: yours for 71p.

‘What can you get for 71p?’ sounds like the sort of question which interviewers try to trap politicians with.

However, on Sunday the 14th of June, burger lovers will be able to tuck into one of the Hard Rock’s Legendary™ Burgers for just 71 pence.

Way back in 1971, on June 14th, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first-ever Hard Rock Cafe in London.

The two music-loving Americans founded the Hard Rock in an old Rolls Royce showroom.

Eric Clapton

After a certain Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in the cafe, Tigrett and Morton were struck with the idea of combining music, memorabilia and food.

Their idea proved incredibly successful. Today there are 198 Hard Rock restaurants, hotels, casinos, and live music venues in 63 countries.

The first Scottish Hard Rock Cafe touched down on Edinburgh’s George Street in 1998 while Glasgow had its first taste of the brand when it opened in the Old Athenaeum on Buchanan Street in 2013.

Forty-four years after the brand was born, diners in the Hard Rock Cafes in Glasgow and Edinburgh will be able to celebrate the brand’s success by tucking into their Legendary™ Burgers at a price which hasn’t been seen for many a year.

Dress like the 70s

Guests are encouraged to join in the fun and dress in their best ’70s garb as they stop by their local Hard Rock for a 71 pence Legendary Burger, available while supplies last.

You can book into the Hard Rock Glasgow via 5pm.

The 71p offer is for the Hard Rock’s Legendary™ Burgers. You can cast an eye over some of their other menu highlights on this 5pm blog post.
