Namaste Kathmandu is a long established Nepalese and Indian restaurant on Edinburgh’s Forrest Road. Simply decorated with scenes of Nepalese life and beautiful tapestries from the Himalayan region, it is handy for a quick lunch, pre-theatre bite or a family celebration.

From steamed mo mo dumplings to marinated lamb flavoured with Szechuan peppers, iconic Nepalese dishes make up much of the menu. For something a little out of the ordinary, many diners try the sherpa’s checha – a chicken and cheese dish which is barbecued in the tandoor.

The tandoor oven also plays a starring role among the Indian dishes. Try the tandoori chicken. There is a good selection of classic curries and less familiar dishes like the pudini chicken which is flavoured with fresh mint along with house spices and herbs.

Their 5pm £12 Dining Sale offer is £12 per person for a starter and main from the a la carte menu. Book in via 5pm Dining.
