Boteco do Brasil is bringing some Latin sizzle to the capital.

Even during our recent sunny spell, Edinburgh and Rio de Janeiro are seldom mistaken for one another. Portobello Beach has its charms but it’s not Copacabana.

However, Boteco do Brasil on Lothian Street is helping blur the lines.

The younger sister to Boteco do Brasil on Glasgow’s Trongate, the Edinburgh branch is now in its fourth year and has earned a dazzling reputation as a top party spot and the go-to joint for Brazilian culinary specialities.

Eat like a Brazilian at Boteco do Brasil

For many visitors, it’s the live Latin music and salsa dance nights that make up a large part of Boteco do Brasil’s appeal.

The late night merengue sessions are certainly popular but you would be missing a trick if you passed over the food menu in your hurry to hit the dancefloor.

Recently, the kitchen team refreshed the menu and it’s looking as colourful as the Rio carnival.

Edinburgh’s Boteco do Brasil has several offers running on their 5pm Dining page. You could book in for two courses on the express lunch menu for £6.95 or enjoy a main course and dessert from the a la carte menu plus a half pint of Brahma for £12.99.

Alternatively, book in to Boteco do Brasil with 5pm and make the most of a 20% discount on the a la carte menu.
