List Eating and Drinking Guide
Glasgow’s Grill on the Cortner won the Readers’ Award for The List Eating and Drinking Guide.

Last night saw the Glasgow launch of The List Eating and Drinking Guide and the announcement of their annual awards.

It was good news for Bilson Eleven and A’Challtainn who both took Newcomer of the Year restaurant awards.

The Newcomer Bar of the Year award went to The Drugstore Social. The 5pm member is part of Kained Holdings who also operate the Lebowskis units in Edinburgh and Glasgow’s Southside, The Kelbourne Saint on Queen Margaret Drive and The Crafty Pig on Great Western Road.

Kained also have a considerable presence in Finnieston with LebowskisPorter and Rye and The Finnieston all rubbing shoulders with relative newcomer The Duchess of Argyle.

According to The List, The Drugstore Social delivers ‘hearty rustic meats and foraged delights paired with top-notch wines and invigorating cocktails, all in a well-pitched pharmaceutical setting’.

We couldn’t agree more. The Drugstore Social often runs 5pm Dining offers. Two people can book in today via 5pm Dining and enjoy a 15% discount on the a la carte menu between 4pm and 9pm.

The Readers’ Award went to the Grill on the Corner, another 5pm Dining member.

This is what The List had to say:

‘The twinkling lights signalling the Grill on the Corner have been illuminating a city centre junction since 2005 – long before the recent steakhouse revival. With sister branches in England, the stylish Glasgow restaurant uses well-sourced meat and seafood for their surf and turf menu, served up in a lively atmosphere helped along by classy cocktails.’

Rated 4.3/5 by more than a hundred reviews, 5pm Dining customers are just as keen on the Bothwell Street steakhouse.

Book in via 5pm Dining

If you want to try their well-sourced meat, Grill on the Corner runs regular 5pm Dining offers.

For instance, two people can book in today via 5pm Dining and enjoy a 30% discount on the a la carte menu.

We would start with half a dozen rock oysters followed by the sirloin steak cooked medium rare.
