The 5pm blog was kindly invited to the restaurant within the ABode Glasgow Hotel on Bath Street to try it’s prix fixe menu.

And wasn’t it a treat. Full of French influenced dishes, it was a feast of fantastic value.

Take a look at our six top dishes that we felt had a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ from ABode Glasgow.

You can try these dishes by booking ABode on 5pm Dining for £12.50 for 2 courses. On the 5pm Big Deal we’ve got a limited time available deal for 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 for only £25 – available here.

1. French onion soup

French onion soup aficionados will not be disappointed by this classic starter.

Done in the traditional Gallic style the crouton and cheese topping will warm you up nicely for your mains.

2. Moules frites

Moules frites

A healthy bowl of mussels complimented by a white wine sauce and a bucket of thin chips to soak up the sauce makes for a great value and tasty main.

3. Truffle macaroni

How do you make macaroni cheese even more comforting and delicious?

Give it a truffle makeover. The ABode’s truffle macaroni is five star comfort food and a must-order for anyone wanting that warm, fuzzy feeling.

4. Crème brûlée

Crème brûlée

Another classic French dish, crème brûlée is available on ABode’s prix fixe menu.

The hard caramel top and creamy custard creme filling make it a top choice.

5. Chocolat liegeois

Chocolat Iiegeois

One to send you to dessert heaven, the chocolat liegeois is a creamy, chocolaty, ice-creamy delight.

A scoop of chocolate ice cream is covered in fresh cream and chocolate shavings and served with a pot of warm chocolate sauce to pour decadently over as you desire.
