Congratulations are due to Yesbar in Glasgow. The Drury Street bar, restaurant and comedy club was recently named as the Best Small Comedy Club in Scotland at the Scottish Comedy Awards.
Spread over three floors, the venue has a 100 capacity comedy club in the basement. Several nights a week, they pack in the crowds as audiences flock to catch the cream of the country’s comedic talent.
Wednesday night is new material night when well-known faces from the comedy circuit cut their well-polished routines with new, untested gags.
Thursday nights are for Yesbar Virgins. Hosted by Graham Barrie, these nights feature the best new and original comedy talent Scotland has to offer.
You never know, you might just catch the birth of the next big name.
Friday and Saturday nights are the Laughter Eight hosted by the unstoppable Viv Gee.
These are Yesbar’s big comedy nights with a mixed bag of tasty talent, culminating in a fantastic set from the headliner.
Of course, while the comedy may feed your soul, the bar’s chefs can also make your belly happy.
Yesbar serves half metre pizza
The bar is famous for its half metre pizzas. That’s right. 50 centimetres of delicious pizza topped with fillings such as gourmet chicken, mushroom and pepperoni.
